A playful tribute to one of the most delightful supporting romances in Mr. & Mrs. 55. Set against the lively world of a 1955 Bombay newspaper office, this artwork celebrates Johnny and Julie - the photographer and the boss's new typist-cum-secretary - whose teasing workplace chemistry brings an irresistible lightness to the film.
The poster turns their little office world into a clean mid-century composition: the typewriter, camera, desk and graphic office details frame Johnny's animated comic energy and Julie's amused, knowing presence. Warm ivory, coral, turquoise and orange give the design a cheerful 1950s character while the monochrome figures keep the cinema connection at its heart.
Sometimes a supporting romance quietly steals the show. Johnny Walker as Johnny and Yasmin as Julie create exactly that kind of magic in Mr. & Mrs. 55. Their office romance grows through glances, jokes, mock annoyance and Johnny's wonderfully expressive attempts at courtship. He turns almost every moment into comedy; Julie, with her sparkling eyes, dimples and restrained smile, seems to remain one step ahead.
And then comes “Jaane Kahan Mera Jigar Gaya Ji.” The song transforms their flirtation into a musical conversation and became one of the film's most fondly remembered numbers - remarkable for a song picturised on the supporting pair rather than the leading stars. Aisa kam hi hota hai na?
That is the feeling this poster tries to preserve: not simply a scene from the film, but the cheerful rhythm of Johnny and Julie's relationship. Johnny bhai's comic timing is on another level, while Julie's expressive eyes and dimples give the romance its soft, mischievous charm. Together they turn an ordinary newspaper office into their own little romantic playground.
The photographer, the typist, the typewriter, the office desk - and a romance that refuses to behave professionally.
